How to Stain & Wax Trophy Shelves

Trophy shelf backers & shelves should be stained on all sides with dark walnut stain.

Brackets are also stained walnut, but do NOT need the angled cuts stained.

Shelves need at least 24 hours to dry after staining before wax.
Pull out Special Dark Wax & Waxing Jig.

Wax the shelves by hand with a rag and apply to both sides and edges of the board. Put it on as thick as possible.

Wax the backers by hand. You only need to apply wax on the front (beveled) side of the backer.

Put the jig in the correct setting for shelf/backer, and use buffer to spread wax evenly. It should feel slick when finished.
